The first Myanmar Orchid show named “Inle Orchids
Images” has been jointly sponsored by Union of Myanmar
Hotel & Travel Association in March. The venue is
Paramount Hotel, Ngaphachaung village, Inle, Nyaung Shwe
Township, Southern Shan State.
Inspire of the “Inle Orchids Images” is to maintain and
record the rare and precious Orchid species and to
uplift the tourism development of the region.
Spectators can be observed the common names as well as
Botanical names of the rare Orchid species of the
region.
In connection with the “Inle Orchids Images” other
spectacular events comprising decorated flower boat
competitions, floating market, Regional exhibition
booths and Inle Lake Natural environment conversation
programme.
Nearly (20) decorated flower boats from nearby villages
will be taken part in the competition. |

 Carving sale festival will be held on 10th February to
9th March, 2009 at Sayar San Plaza situated the corner
of University Avenue Road and Sayar San Road in Bahan
Township, Yangon.
Carvings are being carved out from the trees which had
falling by storm Nargis. Arts of Bagan, Inwa, Pindaya,
Taungoo and Kong Baung century, modern arts, Chinese and
European arts are included. There can see 200 of Myanmar
carvings, 100 of modern arts, 150 of Chinese and 50 of
European made by artists from Darpain, Bago, Mandalay,
Rakhine state and Yangon division.
The largest carvings are 15 feet high and the smallest
are 6 inches high. National and International
enterprises and Organizations are invited to the carving
sale festival.
